Delete your Komnu account

This page explains how to delete your account in Komnu, the app for hosting and joining sport games on Android and iPhone. Komnu is developed and operated by Komnu eenmanszaak.

Delete your account in the app

Open the Komnu app and sign in.
Go to Settings, then under Your data tap Delete account.
Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete my account.

Your account is locked straight away and deleted for good after 7 days. While it is locked, you can still leave games you joined or cancel games you host in the app. Until then you can sign in and choose Cancel deletion to keep it. Want a copy first? Tap Export my data in the same place. If you have Komnu Pro, cancel it in Google Play or the App Store too: deleting your account does not stop the store from renewing it.

Sign in to delete your account

Sign in with the account you want to delete, using email and password, Google or Apple when the Apple button is available. Nothing is deleted when you sign in: you confirm on the next step.

What is deleted

Your account and sign-in details (email, password, Google or Apple sign-in link).
Your profile: username, 18+ confirmation and its timestamp, gender and bio.
Your profile picture and the photos, voice clips and videos you uploaded.
Every direct message conversation you took part in, with its messages, photos, voice clips and videos, for both people in it.
Your games: games you are hosting are cancelled, your places in other games are released, and your record of past games you hosted or joined is deleted.
Your alert zones, weekly series, friends, nicknames, blocks you placed, notifications, push tokens, feedback posts and your Komnu Pro subscription record.

What we keep, and for how long

An anonymous “Deleted user” placeholder with no personal data, so other players’ game rosters and history still make sense.
Reports and moderation decisions that involve you: unresolved reports for 12 months from creation; resolved reports for 1 year after resolution, for safety and to handle appeals.
If your account was the subject of an open or recently upheld report: a one-way hash of your sign-in identity (no email) for 12 months, so the account cannot be re-created straight away.
Server logs: up to 7 days.
Data we must keep to meet a legal obligation, only for as long as the law requires. [VERIFY: any statutory retention that applies]
Server backups: 30 days.

Accounts that are not used for 2 years are deleted automatically, after a warning. For the full details, see the Privacy Policy.
